Mental Health Issues

During adolescence there is a high susceptibility to nutritional deficiencies due to poor eating habits. This may lead to problems later on in life such as osteoporosis and various nutritional deficiency disorders which require prompt treatment. Poor dietary habits, sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy body weight can contribute to obesity among adolescents. Obesity increases the risk of various health conditions.

Adolescents may engage in risky behaviors such as unprotected sex, substance abuse, reckless driving or involvement in violence. These behaviors can lead to injuries, STIs, unintended pregnancies and long-term consequences for their health and well-being.
